A touch more vintage-inspired than its sibling the Italian Vest, Crescent Down Works’ North by Northwest Vest has a distinctive pointed hem and two-way zip front with a leather pull. Made in the company’s hometown of Seattle, Washington, it’s constructed from a water resistant ‘60/40’ cotton-nylon blend – a throwback to classic outdoor clothing from the mid-20th century – and packed with ethically sourced goose down. Wear as your outermost layer, or underneath another jacket. You can’t go wrong. Layer over knitwear or pair with trousers for everyday wear.
